There is plenty of "improvement" going on with just the choices of twists and long and short bullets.
Too bad that case was selected for the military cartridge. But that's what it is, a military cartridge. It does have a nich for certain varmint shooting, target and plinking.
I wish that the .25 Remington had been selected. I always felt that way. One necked to 6mm would be just right.
Have you ever seen a .224 Lindhal Chucker? It's one of the neatest looking cartridges ever designed.
