todbartell260 Rem & 120 gr. NBT
I shot a pretty good group last night with my Remington Model 700 LSS Mountain Rifle in 260 Remington. Here is the load.
R-P case
49.0 grs. of H4831 SC
CCI BR-2 match primer
120 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip
C.O.L. - 2.825"
It was a 5 shot group at 100 yards, which measured .61". I hope to try the same load, but with 49.5 grs. of H4831, and see how it groups. I don't have a chronograph, but I'd guess it is going about 2900 fps out of my 22" barrel.

todbartellI got a chance to shoot the 120 gr. Ballistic Tip/H4831 load today. It is the same as my first load, with one exception. It has .5 grs. more powder.
49.5 grs. H4831
5 shots at 100 yards went into .95"
I'll try .5 grs. more powder, then that's as far as I'll go without a chrono. 50.0 grs. of H4831 with a 120 gr. bullet is as high a max load as I've seen in a book.
