gophershooterThey are romal reins and used mainly on finished horses ridden with a spade bit. They can be quite expensive depending on the quality and number of plait braided.High Country cowboy company has them and others as well.w/regards

Grizzly AdamsThese are basically a show reign, not really practical for your recreational riders. If you are buying them for a show person , better buy the matching hobbles, since show rules require the carrying of the hobbles if you use romal reigns. Don't ask me why. More Money

gophershooterGrizz;A lot of working cowboys in the northwest use them, but it requires a finished bridle horse because due to the short reins you dont have the control you would with split reins.w/regards

blaser93Thanks Guys ,Found them on a web site.
My Girl is an experienced Rider,This past weekend We rode Trail She borrowed a Paso Pino
hot little Horse and used these Kind of reins and loved them. I used her Tenn Walker with Roping Reins , I hated them I like the plain old split Reins and tie them in a Knot.

gophershooterBlaser;I prefer split reins as well but dont tie them together, cross them over and grasp them at center w/your palm down, learn to shorten and lenghten with your fingers.Tied reins are not efficent and wont make progress toward being a good rider. w/regards

jstevensUse split reins and shorten the left rein by taking hold with the last three fingers or shorten the right rein by reaching in between the split reins and grabbing the rein with the same fingers. This is a lot harder to describe than to show you what I'm talking about for sure. Anyway this is what gophershooter is talking about.
