Help w/ID or info on these boots
Hey there, I'm usually over on the big bore page but I thought somebody here could help me out. I got these 25 years ago out of an abandoned storage unit. I wore them once to a costume party. I would like to sell them because I don't need or want them and they appear to be high quality boots Dehner brand. Who uses these and where should I look for a buyer?

English Hunt seat riding boots. Look like good ones too.
You should look at the Horse show crowd where you live. Or Ebay where you can reach lot's of horse show folks.

Those are Patrol boots, worn by Motorcycle cops in the US.

Have a look on line, you'll see what I mean.

I think they were also or are also like the
one's used by riders as the person above said.
Or of course Cavalry (Sherman Potter wore a similar brown pair in MASH).

The basic boot is founded in what I described I do believe. You can find several other uses or modification of the form, one of which has been mentioned. I note the Studs on the heel and where you found them, and think that possibly these were "Mountie" boots. The studs are for traction on Snow, Ice and would not be seen in a pure show ring boot. Who used them for what purpose, is a "your guess is as good as mine" sort of thing. Nice boots though. Should bring a nice price on Ebay. You could not get them built for less than several hundred dollars I would say. Good Luck!
