I sold my pointer to a guide in Pierre, SD, and he invited me out there next October for a grasslands chicken hunt. I am going to haul the horses out there for some horse-back bird hunting, so I am going to have to buy a shotgun scabbard. Can anyone recommend a scabbard, and are there any features that I should look for? Any other advice for horse-back bird hunting would be appreciated; I've been chasing these dogs for years with the horses, but I've never actually hunted off of them.

Um....wear a helmet?!
