.45-70 350 gr. Hornady Loads
I just wanted everyone to know that I have had some good luck lately using the Hornady 350 gr. flat point interlock bullets over 52 grains of Reloader 7. This should be around 2100 fps, and it holds together quite well in the testing I have done.

I hope it will work well on my next eland...or elk, or whatever else comes my way.

If anyone else has a good load or experience with this bullet, I'd love to know about it...

I'll add to that the 350 gr. Hornady RN is the best bullet I ever used in the 45-70 or 45-90 on elk and deer.....It will not come apart and it will mushroom. Great load for the 458 Win also.

I use Hornady 350gr RN. I load 56gr Vihtavuori N130 Velocity is ~2100fps and my Valmet 412 doublegun lasts that load well. When I shoot moose it goes max 100 f after hit.
