New rifle for my wife
Hey gents, just wanted to proudly announce that my wife just made it back on Saturday from Iraq and she's doing well! She spent 7 monthes over there and I've decided to do something for her that I'm going to post pictures of. I'm going to build her a commemerative rifle chambered in .375 H&H off of a P17 reciever, and I plan on doing a hand engraving.
I'm just excited that she's made it back and still the same sweet, tough as nails woman she's always been.

A hearty welcome home salute And pass along my personal appreciation for her service to this country. I am sure she will really love the homecoming present. My dad passed down a 1917 30/06 to me. He had a Japanese guy sculpt a stock for him while he was on liberty in Japan somewhere. Though I don't use that rifle, it is a cherished memento. I enjoy punching paper with it, but won't subject a piece with so much sentimental value to the rigors of hunting. I have always thought of having one made for myself in the same style as my Dad's.
