HenryC470Cheap 500 grain jacketed bullets
Sorry, It's a question, not an advertisement.
Are Hornady soft points (~US$0.50/ea) about the cheapest 500 grain 45 caliber rifle bullet going, or is there a cheaper solution out there? I keep waiting for Mid-South to have these on their blemished list, but I've not been so lucky.

458RugerNo1KmuleinAK,
Have you tried the new bonded core "Interbond" version of the Hornady 500gr RN? If so how do they compare to the old Interlock? It's only been available about 4 to 6 months I think. I got a couple boxes of it but haven't had the chance to try them yet - still burning up the old Interlocks I've got on hand.

KarlBruce bertram is making bullets for big game as well now. I beleive he has made up to 510 calibre and the bigger stuff will come next. The idea he said is to provide basically along the ines of your post- Cheapest jacketed softpoints.
Not sure how price would turn out getting to the US though.
You might ask his distributor over your way-is that huntingtons?
Karl.

KMuleinAKStill working on my supply of interlocks P/N 4504 - will try the new interbonds this spring. IMHO Hornady builds very good bullets for the price - KMule
