Where is the best place to pick up some reloading dies for the 404 Jeff? Thanks

I got mine at midway

My set is from Redding. I really like them. I also like Lee Brand dies.

I don't know if Lee makes them or not but CH4D does. They ain't pretty but they work and they're $100 cheaper than either Reading or RCBS.
They are listed as the .404 Jeffrey Rimless and they're $156.60 + S&H. http://www.ch4d.com/
I didn't see any listed on Lee's website but they would probably be cheaper than anyone else even as a custom die set.
I don't know how long you'll have to wait for Hornady to come through but, they are saying that they are going to make ammo and I would assume, bullets and dies.

Mine are Redding as well. Got them from Graf & Sons. $126.99

North Devon Firearms Services of UK made my dies. They are definitely to spec by CIP for the 404 Jeffery, not 500 Schuler.

+1 on Redding.....very good dies. They seem to match my 404's chamber perfectly.

Caleb, was this a custom FCD or using the 416 Rem FCD like I have seen posted before?

Redding makes the best quality dies I know of.

Jack First, the gun parts depot in Rapid City, SD had some North Devon dies on the shelf a few years ago. I grabbed a set of 404 Jeffery and 500 Jeffery just for the heck of it. That shop is on Turbine Drive right next to the HS Precision factory. Jack First has turned into a parts warehouse, mostly mail order biz now.

Ol' Jack First himself was still kicking. He fancied the 404 Jeffery and had some old 10.75x73mm ammo there too, left over from his halcion days with the 404.

He had more dies then, may be gone by now.
I heard North Devon went out of biz, and then I heard they were back in biz with another owner. I don't know the current score on that.

If you come across any North Devon (NDFS) dies, they are good ones. My 500 Jeffery dies will serve as neck dies for the 500 Mbogo.

I went w/ Redding as well, just ordered them direct. No one had them when I needed them. Graf's has them for a good price. They match the Clymer reamer specs pretty well.

I ordered through the custom shop, but if I remember correctly they charged me less than the listed price for "custom orders"; probably others had ordered one before.

Redding's are great, CH4D have improved as well and I used them often, they even make a neck Size die as well, for $100

Thanks everyone for the info. I will order the Redding dies today. I'm not a reloader but can't wait any longer for Hornady to come out with commercial ammo they promised.
Does anyone have any pet loads they have worked up using the Barnes TSX bullets. This is all new territory for me so any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I haven't tried the TSX yet, but have shot the banded solids. RL19 & IMR4831 are my go to powders. I run the solids @ 2150fps, w/ plenty of penetration. Start @ 82gr of either & work up to 84gr w/ a Fed. 215M primer for 2150fps. Pressure are low so it is really a matter of finding the sweet spot.
