ColoradoMattNeed correct (per Petrov) 400 Whelen case and chamber prints please.
I am trying to help alleviate some of my boredom by looking into making a .416" wildcat based on the 370 Sako (9.3x66) case:
http://forums.accuratereloadin...6521043/m/3961060512I am guessing that it has been thought up already, but seeing as I've never heard of it (and I'm really bored laying around after knee surgery), I thought I might check it out. The idea is to take the basic formula for the 400 Whelen (per Michael Petrov's observations) and apply it to the slightly larger 370 Sako case, using .416" bullets. Can someone please point me in the direction of correct 400 Whelen case and chamber prints? Thanks
Matt

And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

xausaYears ago, in the 1960's, I built a .416 on the .300 Winchester Magnum case. Worked like a charm through my P-14 Enfield action.
