CBJ@BAWSLLC600 Overkill Load Data for CEB 825s
Looking for additional load data for using the CEB 825 Grain Bullets in our 600 Overkill Builds.
So far I am using the following simple loads
1. 825 gr. CEB, 160.5 grains H4350
2. 825 gr. CEB, 170.1 grains IMR 4350
3. 825 gr. CEB, 168.5 grains WW 760
4. 825 gr. CEB, 174.6 grains H414
5. 825 gr. CEB, 159.5 grains IMR 7828 (pressure signs)
Looking for all your favorite loads and powders I have much more than this but the above all are very accurate and quite mild actually.
Link to two 600 Overkill Builds.. One the AHR build the CZ550 and the other a PH1999 by MRC

Michael RobinsonWelcome to the forum.
Have you chronographed those loads?
If so, I am curious to know what kind of velocities you are getting.
Thanks.

drewhenrytntCorey,
Send a message to Robgunbuilder. The 600 is his child.

CBJ@BAWSLLCMike,
I will no longer publish the velocities as it all depends on barrel length and twist rates. We use mostly 3 Groove barrels and a few progressive-twist barrels in our builds.
Everyone doubts or complains that the velocities are NOT real, or overstated and there simply is NO reason to do so. FPS is what FPS is. The fact is yes, we did drive the 825 grain to over 2500 FPS with a 23.25" # groove barrel only to have several members bitch and complain that "there is no way you got that speed" --- personally, we do not give a shit what others "claim" -- but there is zero motivation to lying about FPS. The average of our loads is around 2300 FPS and a tad higher with the 825s. We are looking to experiment here in the coming days with a 720-750 grain Custom CEB Bullet and a sub 24" barrel so we will highly publish those results via a Chrony Readout and maybe a video. We do not need to prove anything. I run a 3-5 shot string only and gather the mean / average FPS and the Standard Deviation and done. We will see what the other loadings come to FPS wise. The best load so far developed is 165.5 grains of H4350 and the 825 grain CEB Raptor. I run the tipped 825 Raptor with 170.0 grains of IMR 4350 but that is about the limit of handing the torque out of that short barrel. It sure does run however and yes, we have done penetration testing with the CEB 825s and they always outperform the 900 Woodleigh.

Brian CanadaBeautiful rifles and the super clean loading bench is impressive. (A bit different than mine.)
Also, I am a CEB fan for cape buffalo.
