My 416-505 will be born soon, Montana ph action in the mail, 1-12 twist barrel on hand, reamer and dies back from my die maker. I am going to use the full 28" of barrel with muzzel break, I am thinking a A-2 style stock I can get the MPI to work with the magazine. It's going to be my reach out and touch-em rig, I am hopeing for 2800 fps with a 400 gr hornady match bullet.

Apointment with gunsmith next month.

With that monster case I would think 2800 fps would be a moderate load. I would think it could push over 2900 fps easily. What a hammer it's going to be.

I have one of the Gibbs boltface actions sitting here. Been wondering just what to do with it.
This would be a pretty solid option.
