zimguideAdvice on a LOTT
I have Bedded the recoil plate in fore-end of the stock and Installed a pillar on centre bolt of my Ruger M77 MK11 LOTT. This is after the first stock cracked on the weapon not long after i received it from Ruger. Anything else i should do to get away from another cracked stock?

jvw375Zimguide,
Check out
www.armtec.co.za. They are not too far from you and they will make you a made-to-order synthetic for your rifle. Last time I checked their prices were fairly reasonable as well.

ozhunterI would buy a Brass threaded rod about 8mm diameter, drill a suitable hole across the upper pistol grip, thread and epoxy it in and then sand down smooth.
This area is where they always seem to break.
A mate did this with his CZ LOTT after it cracked and it worked well with epoxy also in the crack.

ManyatheloCheck bedding screws often to make sure they are tight, even a very, very slightly loose bedding screw will cause a problem.
I also own a Lott and have experienced a broken stock, i check the screws religously and they do need to be tightened from time to time. You dont want the action having a run up aganist the wood when you fire it.......
