idahoelk101Re: Which press?
I went to the store today and handled the Lee cast press and for $55 new I think you could do alot worse. It was on the display right next to the rcbs. It was as well, if not better machined, had the removable insert for 50bmg. Now I better shut up or I'll have to go buy one tommorrow (as if I needed a third press).

Frank MartinezI have been using a Rockchucker for most everything including the Lott but I also use an old Herters double die which opens right at 4 inches.

PCI use an Aussie made zero press which is very big...if you do a search you will find a thread about it with pics, the Aussie army are using them.

RustyMartin, I'll sell em to you for whatever I paid for them from CH.
Once again these are .488, 475# 2 Jeffery dies. They have never been used. NIB no shell holder as I recall. I'll have to look.

GarByRusty....very nice piece. Last summer's Double Gun Journal had a small article on a Jeffery chambered for the 475 #2. The author was loading for a buff hunt.

RustyMartin, I'm using 500 grain .488 Woodleighs. The rifle is a W.J Jeffery chambered in 475 #2 Jeffery.
The rifle weighs 11 pounds. It belongs to my friend David.

RustyMatin,
It could be. My first set of dies from CH were for the .483 Jeffery. Judge G's rifle is a .483 caliber. This is commonly refered to as a 475 #2 Nitro Express.
The .488 caliber is commonly known as the 475 #2 Jeffery.
I sent the dies back to CH and they redid them to .488. In the interim I order a set from RCBS and those are what I use now.
I happen to have a spare set of .488 475 #2 Jeffery dies now.
