700 nitroa friend of mine has a october country 4 bore right handed percussion for sale its brand spankin new but he eyes were a bit larger than his stomach and he now realizes a 8 bore would be a little easyer to shoot since he is ..........60 years old.......
any ways hes asking 2900$ remember this gun is brand new and it has a pacmyer decelirator pad installed on the butt of the stock in stead of a steel butt plate.

Mike ScottIt's a basic underhammer muzzleloader action built on the largish side. Ignition is extremely reliable and the top of the gun does not have a hammer spur to spike you during recoil. The trigger guard acts as the hammer spring. It's an interesting mechanism but not as common as the sidehammer. As for cheap, you are buying a "kit gun". Mine was the first one that Bruce put together and I like the way mine looks a lot more than the one in this picture. He did a good job for me and I would go back for more custom muzzleloader stuff from him.
If you don't like the style of this one, October Country makes a nice one for about $3000....

JohnTheGreekI also like the underhammer actions. I think producing one in a 4-bore, however, defeats the purpose of the trim action. I think the 8-bore he is also selling my be a neat "little" rifle assuming the barrel diameter is smaller.
