SBTWhat is so great about Talley rings?
I have yet to purchase a big bore, but in reading these posts, everybody seems to really like Talley rings. What is the advantage?

500grains1. The scope does not slip.
2. The steel does not moosh like rings and bases by some other manufacturers.

<JohnT>SBT,
I too wondered. But after you buy a set you will understand why & also why it is on so many custom guns. It is the precision machining. They are so precisely made. Also why they cost a lot more than leupold mounts for example.
I found though that the tight tolerance makes it quite a handful to install a matte finished scope. The scopes just will not turn or move forward or back even if the screws are loose.
Looking forward to gettin mine
