clayman216Need help with Express Sights
I have a RSM in 375 H&H. Benched at 50 yards I am hitting 2.5 inches below my POA. How much higher does my front sight need to be ? It has the original factory sights and I have put a higher front on after getting the rifle but I apparantly did not get a high enough bead. Any help appreciated.. I am looking for a measurement in particular so I am not doing another trial & error.

leemar28I believe you will need a lower front sight to raise the point of impact.........

Wouldn't the front site need to go lower?

Don55I always thought the front site gets moved to the bullet hole.
The rear site is the reverse.
Or am I getting to foggy upstairs???

pagosawingnutThey are correct, if you are hitting 2.5 inches low the rear sight needs to be raised. Always move the rear sight in the direction you want the bullet impact to go. If you are maxed out or it has a fixed blade, you need a shorter front sight blade.

Von GruffAll measurements in inches.
Error x sight radius divided by distance to target.
2.5 x sight radius divided by 1800 = lower front sight or higher rear sight or combination of both.
Von Gruff.
