470FANNew 500 Jeffery
Well I did it. I joined the ranks of ranks of 50 caliber shooters with a 500 Jeffery. It's a beautiful rifle built on a BRNO VZ24 action. The rifle is made by Laubscher & Jourbert. A first class custom mauser all the way. I got some brass (HDS), bullets (535 Woodleigh) and loading dies at Huntingtons in Oroville, Ca. I also bought 4 boxes of Kynock ammo from Cape Outfitters so I am ready for the range. At the price of Kynock ammo, I will be doing a lot of reloading. What is a good load to start out with using the 535 grain Woodleigh?

470FANOk, last one I, cross my heart. The Zebra rug is my Hartmann's Mountain Zebra taken in Namibia May 2001. The flash on the camera makes the white look more white than it really is.
Cheers all.

mbogo375470FAN,
Great looking rifle. If it shoots as good as it looks you have a real keeper.

RobgunbuilderCan you take some close-ups of the action and magazine? I'm sure many of us would be interested in how the VZ24 action was modified for the 500 Jeffery.-Rob
