Scope Matte or Gloss

Ok name your poisen! Do you prefer a matte or gloss finish scope on your big bores?

As most of my scopes are non-glare, the criteria is what is on sale at the time I'm looking for a particular for a particular caliber.

I reckon on hard kickers the matte finish allows the rings to grip a little better. I also like the looks of them more so I usually go out of my way to get matte finish scopes.
