Looks like it was a great time! Hunting is Texas was one of my best hunts. Hunted around Carrizo Springs.
Whos who in the pictures? I would guess you are the big bastard in the middle.
Did you all open that deer up or did it blow open? How do you get invited to the next one. Should have my 600 done I got the 458win and my double kodiak. At least one should be big enough? Great pictures thanks for sharing.

Howdy!

We, RNS, RGB, 470mbogo, Chris, Mike, Chadd and I, went on a little adventure for some Hogs, Deer, and Eland. This was the first weekend in November, in central Texas. Some of these animals were taken within a 1000+ acre DENSE DENSE yupon swamp, and the rest taken free ranging.

These are by no means all the fun we had, just some great snapshots of the times.

Funny enough, the bigpig was free ranging, totally...

This is how we started each morning

Here's a couple pics of the bigpig... 300+ lbs...

Next is a couple of Mike's First deer.. Free ranging, taken with a 7x30 waters. Nice big bodied 2 yearold

Now, the Bigpig and the deer in the bed of a truck

Next, you know that phrase, Useless as tits on a boarhog?
Well, if the shoe fits, wear it

Next are some shots of Rob's Eland.

Taken with the 585 Nyati, at a dead run. The Woodliegh SP was recovered, and the animal made it into the Yupon Thicket. Chris finished it with a 470 Mbogo to end the issue. Of the 3 470 barnes X that hit, 2 where complete pass throughs, 1 shattered the left femur at the hip socket, sheered off the petals, and the shank came to rest on the off side, about 4.5 FEET of penetration.

And Just because we KNOW something will be questioned about this Hunt, the AC Salute

Recovered Woodleigh

Rob, Dave, what did those recovered bullets wind up weighing?

As for the hydrolic shock from big bores on medium game...

This deer was taken at about 65 yards, quickly walking away, with the 585.... this is ONE clean shot... ONE, and just behind the ribs.

Nice thing about it... no meat damage

Here's the STC hunting club, just prior to heading back to civilization.

Here's our thoughts on a troll's endless BS

Oh, I nearly forgot... If someone (you KNOW who you are) questions the weight of the big pig

Here's a couple good expressions

There's still Hope while there's Lead in the Air

if he get's past your hands, you are gunna bleed

585 Nyati, damn adequet pig gun

Jeffe, we've had 3 good hunts at Cooley. You sure get a lot of steaks and burgers from the eland, don't you? Nice people running the place and interesting terrain. Never seen quite a site like a group of eland busting throough a yaupon thicket at full run. The thicket was shaking when they came bursting through like several tons of quail! Bob

is AC talking trash?

Not that I am aware of!

Who's hand is holding that expanded 0.585" Woodleigh, just curious. That is a beautiful expand of Woodleigh art, by the way!

Texas style I LIKE IT

Are you junting with a black ops seal or company man The blur man

Those woodleigh sure work great.
I plan to use them also on hogs and wild boars in Argentina this spring.
I would love to get one like that for keeps.

What about some pictures of the BBQ I know you have them.

Cheers,

Andr
