Do you perchance mean the 10.75x57?
10.75x57 uses same diameter bullets as .40 Jeffery. The case is basically a blown out 8x57. So, it has a larger shoulder diameter. Still, it has a very small shoulder.

Mike, do YOU perchance mean the 404 jeffery

So, to clarify, the 10.75x57 uses the same dia bullets as the 404 Jeffery and the 10.75x68

AtkinsonThe 10x57 is simply the 9x57, 8x57, 7x57 or 9.3x57 necked up to .423, some on improved cases none of which show to have great velocity or balistics IMO...MOre like a 410 with slugs.
The 404 is a 10.75x73 as I recall..and one of the greats.
The 10.75x68 is a cartridge of its own and its quite a nice buffalo killer and will work through a mod. 98 or mod 70 Win and hold 4 down with a std magazine...A 400 gr. bullet at 2100 FPS or a 350 gr. Barnes X or GSC at 2350 FPS, not a bad combination...I used one in Tanzania one year and was very pleased with it on buffalo and plainsgame..not much recoil and it sure got'er done..
Truly an overlooked round, but back then brass was hard to come by and impossible to make from other existing rounds from a practical stand point so I offed it to a person who had two lifetimes of brass on hand, but today components are once again available, at least for the time being..

Actually, that would be the 10.75x57.

borgThank you for the replay. No i dont have cases with me it is scares here in ZAR.I know that the 10x57 and the 404 have the same bullet size but the cases on the rifles are totally diffarint in size. The 404 is a bit bigger and i can not use it on the 10x57.

ALFThere is a 10 x57 which was a true 10mm Mannlicher the case was based not on the Mauser M88 case but the 56.? mm Mannlicher case.
