Lighter 375 Ruger load ??
I was wondering if any one has made up a lighter load for a 375 ruger ... I would like something i can use at the range for fun but also if i wanted to hunt White Tail Deer in the north woods of MN..

Was thinking about a 280GR cast bullet with Trail boss or a lighter jackted bullet and some other powders...

It would be easy to work up a load with Accurate 5744 and a lightweight bullet or just e-mail Johan Loubser at Accurate and he will help you. That's the way I would go.

GO TO trail boss powder or the IMR website. They have a pdf free that gives the formula for reduced loads with Trail Boss in almost any cart. I am going to try them in a 416 B&M.

A very accurate lighter load is 260gr. Nosler BT with 64.0 grains of VARGET and Federal 215 primer.

I have been shooting 38gr of Reloader 7 with a 250 gr cast bullet from Bear Tooth Bullet. When my full power load is 2 inches high at 100 yards the cast bullet land directly in the bullseye. I find this load easy and fun to shoot. I don't know where this load first came from, but I have been shooting it with complete satifaction since August of '09.
