Ignorant question...I have finally made the decision to buy a chronograph. Every chrono I see on particular retailers websites look like it is just the chrono without any kind of stand or tripod. Will these attach to any camera or spotting scope tripod or is there some kind of adapter? I am looking at the basic Shooting Chrony Beta Master model if it helps.

Shooting Chrony attaches to a regular camera tripod.

Std camera tripod, ie 1/4-20 bolt.

You can get refurbed shooting chronies straight from shooting chrony, doesn't hurt so bad when you end up shooting it.

Shooting chronies are sensitive to some lighting conditions, but other then that work quite well.
