458 Lott semi auto
Supposed to have a custom BAR in 458 Lott done by Christmas, but it may be running behind. I have been waiting for it for 3 years and 3 months. It should be a six shot if all works out on it. I could use a good Christmas present, it's been a rough year.

It won't be a good year for pigs with that gun.

I would like to see a Lott in a BAR. I have seen 458 Win conversions but never a Lott. I'm surprised the action is long enough.

David Clay is building 2 of them. His is finished, and my gun should be done very soon. I have been waiting a long time on mine as Dave is busy working on a new line of lever actions that will be really cool when they come out. He has had a few problems to deal with over the last 3 years and is pretty far behind on a lot of his guns. Our guns were expiermental so Dave and I worked out a deal. I think the cost on one would be your gun and I am going to guess 3500. But you would have to talk to Dave about the price. This is just my guess by using the SWAG method. ( silly wild ass guess) There is quite a bit of work that goes into one of these. I am not a gunsmith. You would have to discuss the gun with him. I do not know if he is interested in building anymore of them or not since he is really tied up with his new gun line.

Bigdoggy- Think Barrett M82 with a .700 RLG ( 1000gr bullet on a blown out .50BMG case). Massive firepower!

JRO45 David is making a 6 shot semi auto for me using the 458 lott cartridge in a totally reworked BAR. Rob, I have a model 82 Barrett, but it just shoots the regular 50 BMG. I do have a bolt that shoots a 50 bmg that is necked out to 585 and uses a 1173 grain bronze boat tail bullet. Butt.... its only a bolt action. If those 20 mm bolt guns were not considered destructive devices, I would have owned one of those years ago.

Bigdoggy700-I've had some inquiries from some Gov people looking to use the .600OK for IED destruction which required a semi-auto action. If the .600OK wasn't classified as a sporting cartridge and this use might have jeopardized that, I would have given it some serious development considerations.-Rob

I am glad it is a sporting cartridge so we can all use it and have fun with it.
