What does everyone think of the 700nitro?

I think as far as a big case to go bang with it is great, but as far as a double goes it is a stunt.

And if it weren't for H&H I think it would get about as much respect as those Fuchs double barrelled bolt rifles.

How votes the senate?

Wouldn't you have to say if it wasn't for Jim Feldstein and a heap of money we wouldn't have
a 700 H&H ?

Secondly, H&H only built the gun, 4 people were involved with the design of the case/bullet/capacity etc et.

Jim Feldstein, Jim Bell (BELL), Geoff McDonald (Woodleigh) and of course Holland & Holland.

Never fired one so couldn't say what I think of it but 600 Nitro would do me.

500 Nitro

i am having butch searcy make me one and it should be ready in about 2 monthes

its a presidential grade box lock under lever with english rosin scroll engraving and exibition grade english walnut stock.

it will have 25" barrel and go 18 lbs

the load i will be using will drive the 1000 grn woodleigh bullet at a little over 2000 fps for 8800+ footpounds of energy

i almost forgot i have talked to at least 6 people who have shot elephant buffalo and hippo with the 700 all of the people i talked to loved it but i must say this the weight of the gun is unfortunatly on the heavy side but if your willing to carry the rifle it wont let you down.

i have a vidio where a guy named don shot a elephant at a distance of only 15 yards he hit the elephant with such force it rocked back on its ass.

butch searcy made himself a 700 nitro and he loved it and he even said the recoil isnt as firce as the 577 the 577 being more of a jab the 700 being more of a push

he sold the rifle to a fello who fell in love with the rifle and just had to have it and offerd butch a larg sum of money for it.

Would a double rifle be possible to build in a .600 OK or .700 BMG IMP??? Will this be expensive?

The 700 BMG has too much pressure for a double. You could keep the pressure of the 600 OK down to NE levels but then why not get the 600NE. Same bullet same velocity. Either way save your money it will cost you.

fritz is correct the 700 bmg improved is way to high pressuered of a cartrige for a double rifle

the 600 ok can be down loaded but why would you want to do that except for practice.

i payed 40,000 us for my double rifle in 700 nitro
and i will post pictures as soon as it comes in.
