Survey of mount types used on .585 rifles.
For those scoped .585 owners out there I am interested on wether you use detachables or fixed mounts on your rifles and what brand, and have you had any drama's with your mounting systym. I am thinking of putting detachables on my .585 and am wanting to here others experiences.

Regards PC.

Thanks gentlemen,

I have ordered a set of Tally QD lever mounts for my .585 to give them a go. They claim that there as solid as a fixed mount. I then decided to order a second set of Tally QD's for my .416 Rigby and the Warnes can reside on my .375 which is on Lay Buy. I also at the advice of others ordered aan extra pair of Tally levers & screws to replace the spring loaded affair which the warne Quick detach systym uses. Hopefully the .375 recoil will not wreck the warnes.

I want to use the 750 grain bullets with irons and use the scope for the 650 gr loads.

Talley's must be popular as they will not be able to ship to me until mid January.
