Sako AV .375 H&H
I bought a used Sako AV .375. I bought it without knowing it's true value. I could not find it in any book and they seem as scare as hen's teeth on the internet. Can anybody tell me more about this gun? Value, history, ect.
Thanks
I have one and like it very much. It shoots well and has been to Africa twice with no problems. I insured it with the company in Florida - SSI I think is their name. They claimed the value was $700.00 as I recall.

StonecreekAssuming it to be the "standard grade" (sometimes called "hunter"), BigB is about right. This, of course, depends on condition, and whether you're the buyer or the seller.

The .375 wasn't priced any higher than the smaller calibers in this gun, but usually brings a little premium.
I see some astounding "asking" prices on some Sakos, but they usually attract no bids on the internet auctions. If I were looking for an AV .375, I would try to pay less than $700, but likely couldn't.

NickuduI had one 10 years or so back. Bought it new for $505.00, with the oil finish stock. It was the single most accurate out-of-the-box rifle I have ever known, regardless of caliber. Another one I could kick myself for letting go.
