I chronoed some Federal Cape Shok ammo in .416 Rem last year and without digging up my data, I believe that it averaged right around 2400 fps. I will have to find my data to confirm though........

A friend choroned some Fedral 416 Trophy Bonded from his factory 416 Rem and I think he said it avgd.2370 fps Most of the Rem Factory Swift stuff I,ve chronographed 2400-2410... The 416 Rem is amazeing to me in that it tends to have such low shot to shot variation......With factory ammo and handloads..

the 416 Rem is a great!! cartridge. I suspect that the key is very close to 100% loading density. That is one attribute accurate cartridges seem to share.
