PH Action SS or Chrome Moly?
dancing

To the group I was lucky enough to put an order in a while back. At this point I'm torm between ordering a SS or Chrome Moly. Not sure if there are any advantages in building a bigger bore to each metal choice. I'd like to make a good looking shooter. Robar still does the black stainless finish. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Brad, I think it all depends on what you want to do with your rifle. My buddy bought two PH actions, both stainless. He is having one of them made into a .505 Gibbs. I ordered one in chrome moly because I intend to build a more traditional blued action, a "proper" safari rifle, probably in .450 Dakota. I really prefer the look of a blued rifle with a fine piece of wood. My days of hunting in the rain and snow are over... Wink
