Anyone else try these? I found 150 410 grn Rigby Woodliegh Weldcores (it started out as 200 but I parted with 50 to my 'smith) and they're harder to find in Canada. Now for the question, can I load to POA with the same "kick"? I'd like to practice with realistic feel.

I used the 350 gr Speer MagTips for practice with the .416 Rigby ... but I used 350 Gr Barnes X's to hunt with. They were both loaded to the same velocity so recoil was very similar.

The 350 gr Barnes X's chrono'd at about 2700 fps. The only recovered bullet was from a followup shot. It impacted the right rear haunch, smashed the femur, travelled 5 feet up the Buff and came to rest in his lungs. It retained 77% of its original weight.

Thanks Mike.
I figured it would be a stretch.
Now with Hornady upping the anti, I'll have to look for an alternative.

.366torque,
I got the 350 Speers shooting well in my .416 Rigby using 100 grains of RL22. Recoil is close enough to that of my 400 grain TSX/ 96 gr RL22 load for realistic practice.I used the Speers due to price and availability and only ever considered them as practice bullets. The POI is a full 5" higher than my 400 grain TSX load. That may not apply to your rifle though, every barrel is different.
