If you take either of those cartridges and build a 9.5 lb straight stocked, well balanced rifle with a medium F990 pad you would be picking fly shit out of pepper to tell the difference. Either one will do anything you want and will be very shootable, all theories and physics aside.

two things haven't changed.....
1. Recoil is not a function of pressure!!!

2. Two guns of similar weight and shape and similar muzzle energy will have similar recoil....regardless of pressure levels used to propel the bullet.

Now it's true that muzzle energy isn't equivalent to recoil as stated.....as I stated.....Newton's 3rd law of action and equal reaction is more like MV=MV and not MV(2)=MV(2)

However in no instance is this a reference to pressure being a factor in recoil
