Congratulations on yout .375 H&H mag. It is a great calibre.

I finally own a big bore rifle!! After looking for two years and having an open order with 5 dealers I finally have my LEFT handed M70 Classic Safari Express in 375 H&H magnum!

I got to pick it up today and here's what it looks like: (This is my first attempt at imbedding pictures, so bear with me)











Now I just need to clean it out and work up some loads and shoot it. I have some 270 grn Hornady spire points and some IMR 4064 that I'll probably break it in with.

The wood to metal fit is not bad. One of the rear site elevation screws was laying loose in the bottom of the box and the trigger is set at a crisp 40 lbs (actually it is easily 6-7 lbs). My God it's horrible.

You will not be sorry you chose a .375, what a wonderful cartridge. Plenty of power and mild recoil makes this one of my favorites. Your Mod 70 in a left hand Safari is getting hard to come by, good luck and enjoy your new rifle. If you like the 4064 (what's not to like ) 72gns will give you a factory load and maybe your 70 will like the mixture . Take care and God bless.

nice rifle hope you enjoy it.....
when i was shooting a h&h i used remington brass cci 250 mag primers 300 grain woodleighs and 72 grains of reloader 15 accuracy was 1" or better at 100 yards and reacoil was mild velosity was around 2550
