SevensSako 416 Rem Mag
I've been watching a few episodes of Federal's Dangerous Game. Seems like everyone on the show is shooting a "Sako 416 Rem Mag." Makes sense, since Beretta sponsors the show. I know they made a 416 in the Sako 75, but I don't see one for the current Sako 85. The stock, however, doesn't look like that shown on the 75 series online. It looks more like the 85 series with a classic style stock (no roll-over cheek piece).
Does anyone have any idea exactly what series Sako 416 Rem Mag everyone on the show uses?
Thanks for the clarification.

LJSI just watched the show and had the same question. Also, the gun had a quarter rib which is not available on the over the counter sales.

Dr. LouI have had 3 Sako AVs in 416 Rem (still have one) and a 75 in 416. None had a rib, but a couple Sako models have, i.e., Battue, Safari. However, Sako is well known for uncatalogued guns. Perhaps it's a Safari in 416.

505EDIt looked quite nice--almost as nice as Jeff Rann's Beretta 455 470.

I was curious about that too. I can't help but wonder if he would have chosen a different double if Beretta was not a show sponsor? (I also assume Beretta gave him a discount on it too so he would mention it on every episode. )

Seems the most logical. The "Safari" models look the most like rifle on the show, just don't see them listed in 416. I would imagine they are also not re-boring the "Safari" models either.

I bet he did get a nice discout but--the 455 is a hell of a gun. FAMARS makes the 455 for Beretta. Nice holland style sidelock. Whats not to like!!!!

John55I've seen a couple of shows (also in the Dangerous Game series I believe) where Jeff Rann is carrying a beautiful old H&H Royal in .577 and a custom .505. He has an excellent toy collection.
