Just a quick report.

Took the new AHR 458Lott to the local mini-range

23.5" barrel
No muzzle brake
Haven’t weighed it, but feels around 11 lbs
Iron sights

Shot 20 rounds of Hornady 500g soft-points standing offhand wearing a t-shirt at a very close range of 25 yards. Was very pleased at the manageable recoil and feeding, there was no unpleasant bruising or shoulder soreness at all. 3 shot groups at 25 yards were within 1 inch.

Rain shortened the session.

Next weekend I'll work it at 50-100 yards


It took Ed Plummer a little longer than expected to finish, but I am pleased with the rifle so far.

Cane, Glad you like it...It is fun once you know how to manage the recoil...
