CDNN is closing out the Remington 798's for $599 for deluxe walnut down to $399 for laminates. Calibers from 458 down to the 243.

it is a mauser action design and could probably be worked over into a pretty nice rifle. why not buy a couple for future projects?

Hmm....

Edit: I did not see this in the catalogue on their website. Where did you see this?

It was a special Remington closeout they emailed to me. Just call them - $499 for laminate, $599 for walnut, 26" barrels, .458 Win or .375 H&H, other calibers too but I can't remember which ones. Smaller calibers I think were even cheaper.

So who's next to market these in the US? They seemed best when Interarms had them.

That would be USSG Inc., they're part of EAA Corp., here's their address and website info.:

Looks like they'll be coming in under the Zastava name; I'm waiting to see the stainless steel version that they're advertising.

Any idea what the Zastavaa will be retailing for?

Does it mean that Remington stops importing/selling them?

I haven't heard but hopefully closer to the Daly price than the Remington price.

Yes, Remington either gave up or lost the importation contract.

Good news; here no Zastava rifle has been available during the last 3-4 years. The importer claimed that the Serbians were sending all their production to USA. Hopefully something will change.

If memory serves, CDNN closed out the Charles Daley .458 and .375 rifles when Remington brought out the 798.

I'm interested in that SS as well! Especially in 375 H&H if the price isn't like Remington's...stamping a big R on a rifle doesn't add value, especially when its still an extremely rough action.

If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

A stainless mauser action in .375 H&H might just make me buy one.

Thanks, I'm curious about the stainless ones too, Remington had them in their catalogue but I never saw one.

Looks like they are selling a double rifle from Sabatti. Interesting, but it looks like a single trigger.
