Re: Remington 700 Safari 375 -- any good?
I've got a Classic that points well and feels great. Changed the sights and installed detachable scope mounts. It's not crap.

I wouldn't want the synthetic stock but other than that Rem makes a good rifle. My 375 H&H is a sako

I'm not talking about push feed versus controlled round feed, I don't care about that.

I DON'T CARE ABOUT CONTROLLED VERSUS PUSH FEED.

My 375 H&H is a push feed (Sako), my 375 Weatherby is a push feed (Sako), one of my 416 rifles is a push feed (Sako).

The problem with all Remington's in a 375 H&H is that their sights are crap.

The problem with many Remington's of all calibers is that their quality control and accepted tolerances are terrible. The same applies to Winchesters, Rugers, and Browning rifles.

I own many Remington rifles. Some shot well from the get go. Usually I have the action trued, and a good barrel put on, and then they shoot very well.

The wood stocked DGR's from Remington are balanced a little better than the synthetic stocked ones, but they are still muzzle heavy.
