No need for a fancy double rifle when this custom marlin will do:

smallfrythough its not a 45-70. "You might be a redneck if.... your Dangerous Game Rifle is a Marlin Guide Gun."
I love that one.

Brian MIf that was a 35 Remington and was considerably (and I mean CONSIDERABLY)cheaper,I'd be on it like a duck on a june bug.
'Course, you could slap pretty wood on a golf club and I'd be smitten.

NickuduI've seen quite a few .218 Bee & .219 Zipper / Unertl scope combos but this is quite a fine one. Thanks for the pic 500.

Looks like a waste of a good piece of wood, and a target scope!

Looks like Johny Cash's ONE CAR BUILT ONE PART AT A TIME from ten different year models!

<Pfeifer>BrianM,
I have a copy of two original Savage barrel tooling dwgs (reamer & cutter) from 1908 and listed is none other than the .35 Rem! I've never seen one but thinking they might have made one on a custom high grade rifle...food for thought!
