Barnes Reloading manual... a surprise !
I picked up the latest Barnes reloading manual the other day, it was published in '08. Anyway, I was perusing all the big bore data for my new Ruger 416 Rigby and reading the stories that accompany each caliber. I thumbed over to the 450/400 3" and got quite a surprise to see a picture of me, my hunting buddy Bob Moore and PH Steve "Shikari" Robinson posing with my Buff that took a lot of killing. I had used my Rodda 450/400 double in Tanzania in '06 on the hunt. I see now why PH's are known for their discretion, as Steve made a nice excuse for my poor initial shot! Must have been a slow year for folks using the cartridge if they used a picture of my tired old Mug!
