<Mauser416>Kodiak Mk IV .45-70 conversion
The subject of converting the Kodiak in .45-70 to 450 N.E. et. al. has been discussed in the past. I was just wondering how many have actually completed the project. What were the results? Would you recommend this project for someone else to try?
Thanks,
Eric

<Kenai Capt>Eric,
I followed PWN's lead and had Joe MacKool in Tulsa do a Kodiak and a Ruger #1 to 450NE#2.
I have only been able to shoot 4 rounds with the double and 2 with the #1 due to shoulder surgery, but all 6 hit the gong at 100 meters!
I am most pleased with the work and $ was very reasonable, can't wait to heal and get back at it.
Regards
Ron

MacD37Joe MacKool, and the 450#2NE would be my reccomendation. As for brass, I'd go to MAST Technologies for brass, and stay away from Bertram brass!
