Smallest Muzzle Diameters
Ok how about this?

What is the smallest or some of the smaller, muzzle diameters you have seen on 9.3x62,.375H&H,.404 or .416?

The L-W #5130 in .423 cal is .625 @ 26". I would consider that a small diameter muzzle.

What has anyone else measured?

Allen

It's a Mauser thing, you wouldn't understand.

My 9.3x62 has a muzzle of .589"
This is a 20" barrel whole rifle is very light but shoots pretty darn accurate.
My factory .375 H&H is a Win M70 Classic Stainless and measures .708" at the business end, no its not a thin lightweight but may give you a comparison.

Asa rule of thumb, I normally build my guns with a minimum of .125 each side of the muzzel diameter and consider thas as safe. This of course depends on the calculated pressure on muzzel of the cartridge.-Rob

I have a factory 375 H&H with a 0.650 muzzle diam. Nice to carry and swings well too.
