Looks like a good buy. I particularly like the idea of a peep sight included in the bolt.

A bit heavy IMHO.

A lot of rifle for the money. But to my mind the scope is far too big, and I don't like the idea of mounting sights on moving parts.

I understand that view. However Rigby and some others did do a good job of it for close range quick shooting. I had a Mannlicher Schoenauer Sporter in 6.5X54MS with a Lyman peep on the bolt that was great on deer at close range.

A properly installed cockingn piece peep is ingenuous but few actually know how to install one that doesn't have movement in it..

Redfield or Marble used to make a receiver sight for the MS rifles that swung back out of the way when you manipulated the bolt.They bring a pretty penny these days, if you van even find one..I sold one some 10 years ago to a friend in Twin Falls..
