lb404Re: Help needed- 416 Taylor roll call
I have a 416 Taylor that has been used on game from Africa to Alaska. It is made on a pre-64 model 70 long magnum action. I put it in a classic designed laminated stock from Fajen and it was checkered by Kathy Forester. The rifle has a 22" barrel with barrel recoil lug, barrel band front sight and sling swivel and sports a PME replica of the original 458 Winchester Magnum adjustable rear sight. Last year I lent it to my friend when we went to Tanzania. There he shot a 41"cape buffalo. He also shot an eland in Namibia with it on the same trip. He is very reluctant to give it back to me.

CraigPRed,
I'll snap some pics of mine this weekend. The only pic I have is from when I received it and it didn't have the scope or mounts on it. It now wears a Leupold 3X in Warne fixed mounts.

p dog shooterIf I had some pics of my RugerMKII stainless Taylor

it most likely would make him forget how bad he wanted a old worn out springfeild built on one. So I will not post them. I would hate to screw up his dreams.

Dago RedHans,
great description, thank you! I'll look forward to pictures. Maybe this will encourage the rest of the guys to come out of the woodwork.
