Value? MO.458
Hi Chaps,

A mate sent me this picture of his .458 and the rifle is in very good condition? Any idea of the second hand value?

Without scope c.800US in Europe. It is the first model (not the improved "S") so a bit depending which trigger was used.

My local gun store had a very nice one in .338 WM and could not get $750 for it. I would have bought it but the scope mounts are very expensive, and as I recall, the rear sight has to come off. Nice rifle, well made, heavy, and built like a panzer.

I could make room pretty easy in my safe for one of those...

I'd just ship it to Dave Talley and talk him into making me a set of mounts.

PSmith,

is it still there?

A Mauser 66 in 458 should bring $1,400 to $2,200 here in the US. If he had scope mounts, that would help as well, as aftermarket scope mounts are pricey.

Re: Mounts

The steel one piece from the guy on ebay is very well made. He will mod it if needed as the
bolt handle changed over the years as well as there being a M66 and a USA M660.
