WillRe: Hogsback or American 375 H&H CZ550?
Yeah, I'm insane too.
I love those hogbacks with increased recoil and muzzle jump.
Yeah, RIP, keep up the good work.

skl1Put me down as somebody who likes hogsback stocks, too. I have straight stocks, also. Like both of them fine, but I would choose the hogsback/low-combed American stock for a rifle to be used primarily with iron sights. My 9.3x62 and 6.5x55 are both CZ's with hogsback stocks. Both are light rifles and neither kicks particularly hard, but I haven't tried either of those calibers in a straight stock for direct comparison. A 9.3x62 in an awfully light, unscoped rifle, though, seems like it would kick like a mule if the stock design was poor for recoil.
I really like the additional drop on the stock for shooting iron sights.

kbobbBoyds does NOT make a stock for the CZ 550 at this time but they said they will have custom services available that could probably do this after the new year.
