Guys, it seems we have the latest boom of bigbores. No one can fault any purpose or 'need' for which they are built since the only answer we have guns for anyway is 'personal enjoyment'.
The more the merrier.

However one area we can show preferences as consumers is the cartridge naming- surnames, creatures, africana etc.

For example in 585 what would the discerning hunter/rock shooter rather buy?

The new 577 Tyrannosaurus
The new 585 Nyati
The new 588 Destroyer
The new 585 Rimless Ultra no 2 belted mega magnum.
The new 585 'Smith', no 1, 2 etc.

I really like the ".585 Nyati" it sounds more like a real hunting round, I suppose I am bias as I own one.
