I have a Holland Royal stock from a 500/465 with Leopard Teeth marks and scratches in it from an attack on the owner.

They look awesome.

That would be a fair whack. I load mine to 2270 fps with 130gn AR2209 behind the 600gn Woodleigh. It gives 102 ft lbs of recoil at 24fps, which is a handful. A Ruger no 1 chambered in 505 Gibbs would be around 9lbs, which gives 125 ft lbs of recoil at 30fps. I think the difference would be quite noticable
