new_guyFront Sight Height
OK, I need to raise my point of impact by about 4" on my open sighted 375.
Does anyone know of a chart that gives a "rough" calculation of how much sight height +/- moves the relative point of impact?

vapodogassuming you're shooting
4" low at 100 yards
3,600" and your sights are
16" apart the front sight needs to be lowered .017 "
(4/3600) X 16= .017.....and sights usually come by 1/32 heights.....so you must buy a 1/32 lower sight and adjust the rear sight to match.
if things are different than the distances I used just substitute them in the formula.

new_guyThanks, vapodog...
So the variables are
1)inches of POI change
2)distance from the target (in inches)
3)distance from front to rear sight in inches.
Wow, makes sense, but where in the hell did you come up with that?

vapodogI hope it works for you....it has for me.....
