On Hawks home page they say that " The 0,65 jackets are appropirate for only the very toughest applications"
Is it possible that the 750 grain 0,65 Hawk soft nose bullet will stay togheter if you shoot it at 2700 f/s from a 577 T-rex into a moose or buff...?
And the last question, Is it possible to get the 750 grain Hawk 0,65 jacket bullet to the same velocity like the woodleigh bullet. 2700 f/s....?
What do you think guys...?/and please dont make a joke of this...!
1. Woodleigh is a bonded core bullet and Hawk is not.
2. Woodleigh uses a copper alloy jacket and a lead alloy core. Hawk uses pure copper and pure lead.
3. Hawks are so soft that presure builds up fast. Not so with Woodleighs.
Keep those Hawks at 2200 fps and the flesh damage will be devastating. I shot a 0.065 .577 750 grain Hawk into my dead pachyderm from 5 feet. The bullet went in 1.5 feet and stopped. It nearly turned inside out, but it stayed together.

All hype and no performance, they come apart 85% of the time. too soft and nothing more than an old fashion bullet from yesteryear.
Use them in the old west calibers, like a 45-70 at factory velocity.
