505 Gibbs Lead Bullet Mold Recommendations
Anyone have a good cast bullet they can recommend for the 505 Gibbs?

Not in terms of a mold but Huntington's sells the bullets themselves. I think they are made by Jim Wisner and 600 grains. I have them and like them.

"Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

You can go here and design your own boolit:

http://www.brooksmoulds.com/order.php

Or check out these offerings from NEI Handtools:

(Below is page 13 of the catalog, including 470s and 500s)

Neato gas-checked 540 grainer that is .505-caliber and 540-grains,
but depending on alloy cast in it may be up to .508" and up to 600 grains:
Aim to size it to .505" or .506", whichever works.

Below is the mould I used to make 777-grain ThorHammer Bullets for the 500 Mbogo.
Supposed to be .511" but casts .513" in my alloy.
Also weighed 777 grains with gas check applied, and before the lube was applied.
I expected closer to 700-grainer from the catalog.
It can be made as various length/weight.
I am very happy with what I got. thumb
Notice there are a couple of shark gills leading the train of lube grooves:

tiggertate,
Are you able to post a pic of the cast bullets you get from Huntington's or is there a pic of them on the net?
