neck versus full length resizing on .375 RUM
Any thoughts on full length versus neck sizing on the .375 RUM? The rifle is an HS Precision, and will go to Africa again next spring. I am just about to begin reloading for it, having used factory ammo with 300 gr A-frames. It shoots well with these (about 2 inches at 200 yards) but I'd like to try some 300 gr Barnes-X. Might one encounter chambering issues on a dangerous game rifle with neck sizing only? By the way, the factory load on my chrono comes in at 2865 fps.

Marty,

I have tried the neck sizing, even bought the die, but it didn't make any difference that I could see. I'm full sizing again and using 270gr Barnes XLCs and Vhitivouri N160 experimenting, more or less w/Saeed's .375/.404 loads listed on the reloading pages. Accuracy is amazing and very easy to shoot.

My opinion is always full length resize. Not only might you prevent a jam, but it's more accurate. High power target shooters who win at Camnp Perry full length resize every round.

Marty,
Ovis and Indy are steering you straight. I even full length resize for my 6mm PPC. More consistent (for me any way).
Never neck size hunting ammo.
